Emo Fashion

Dressing Emo.

First of all, you can dress anyway you want. Being "emo" does not restrict you from dressing however you wish. You do not have to only wear black, skinny jeans, band tees, and only Converses' or Vans'. Your hair does not only have to be black either, which I'm hoping all of you know this. 'Cause I really would hate for you people to be small-minded about your own fashion sense.

Now on to the actual fashion of the emo sorts. Yes, I said that you do not always have to wear skinny jeans but they are; the most typical type pants. They are now coming in many colours, but personally they look stupid when they are pink, green, yellow, or some bright colour like that. But, like I also said "dress they way you wish". Now, if you do wear bright ,colourfull skinnes, then you should match it with another vibrent colour. Ex. Bright lime green skinnies, with a WTF shirt from Hottopic.

With band tees you should only wear the bright or dark that are compatable to your jeans. Plan "V-necks" are really popular these days, but they should not be worn with a pair of bright coloured jeans, unless you really like to unmatch then it does not make a difference. Ex. Gray V-neck with a black pair of skinnies or a simple band tee with black, gray,or average blue jean skinnies. Both which are classy.

Hoodies or jackets? I love either one but I prefer to stick with hoodies. I do not believe I should tell you about hoodies because thats just simply unexplainable, considering hoodies and jackets go with about everything, no matter what colour you have.

And I'm not going to tell you what shoes to wear because to me that is pointless. We all have our favorite pair of shoes.

Accessories are not always a must, it depends on the person. Bracelets, necklesses, rings, hats, tutus, and anything else you can think of. It all really does not matter 'cause your going to wear what you want. But if you are the type of person to wear a tutu, do it accordingly to the rest of your attire. Ex. A pink tutu goes best with purple skinnies and a blueish shirt or a black tutu with dark red skinnies and a gray shirt.

Some more examples of emo fashion:

Try not to be a whore with your clothing. It's what you feel comfortable with. Not what everyone else likes. Yes, it may get you attention, but fashion is more about expressing things than impressing someone.

The examples come from my mind, so do not try to follow them. As I have been stressing, dress how you wish. these are merely guide-lines for you. They apply to both boys and girls. If you have a question or need more examples on something, or not getting the idea at all please ask.
